All of our candles are handmade in very small batches in the USA. There are some things we’d like you to know about the newest addition to your household:

-Soy wax is a very different creature from the candles you may be used to, and has some properties that many aren't aware of until they enter the world of soy candles. Soy is very heat and humidity sensitive; this may result in variation on the surface of the candle, or on the inside of the jar, called "frosting" or "wet spots". This is a normal feature of soy candles, and does not in any way affect the quality of the candle, or its burn time.

-Soy candles are “clean burning”, and do not generally make soot. Make sure to keep your wick trimmed to about one quarter of an inch for best results.

-The first time you burn your candle, make sure to allow the wax to pool entirely across the top. Soy wax has “memory”, and if you don’t allow it to melt completely across the top, your candle will likely “tunnel” and waste wax. Burn your candle for 2-3 hours at a time for best results.

-Soy wax is an environmentally friendly wax, made with all renewable resources.

-The melting point is much lower for soy candles

-Your candle jar can be cleaned with hot water and soap when the candle is finished, and be reused!
